Zorapterans are very minute insects, measuring much less than even one centimeter. Not all of them have wings, though those that do have four wings. They eventually shed their wings from their bodies, leaving only stubs.
Zorapterans have no economic significance.
Zorapterans live under debris, often in colonies. They are uncommon insects and they are restricted to the southeastern states for their habitat in North America.
Zoraptera has one family, Zoratypidae.
